DRIVE THRU

BUSINESS

IS ON THE RISE...

WHY CHOOSE A PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT COFFEE DRIVE-THRU?

After years of coaching individuals, we are all too familiar with the consistent theme holding so many of us back:

We'd rather settle for what we have, even if it's not what we want, than risk going after our dreams because where we are is known and comfortable.

But what if living a life of fulfillment and meaning isn't as big and scary as so many of us have made it out to be? What if the answer lies in being inspired and challenged to take micro steps towards the life we've always wanted?

Imagine driving thru to get your morning coffee and breakfast and also being challenged to take one tiny step forward that day? What could happen if those daily micro steps were strung together into weeks, months and years of consistently moving forward?

We know the answer, because we're living it. Small, daily, consistent steps forward create significant and lasting change.

Through daily inspirational calls to action in person and via social media, Outsider Coffee is waking the communities we serve up to greatness. We see every interaction as an opportunity to help our customers and neighbors love themselves, giving them the inspiration and confidence they need to love, serve and risk for others in our community!

COFFEE + PEOPLE

As a coffee company, we roast and serve great craft coffee. As a people company, we help our customers learn to love themselves so they can turn around and love their community.

Daily, we invite our Outsider community on a journey of RISK, LOVE and ADVENTURE. When our community knows they are the answer to so many of the problems our world is facing, when they know who they are and can love themselves right where they are, we believe they will take steps to serve others with their unique gifts.

By creating a true community, in person and online where we champion and walk along side each other, our model empowers our customers to become the hero of their stories and to live lives that make a positive impact.

Outsider Coffee wakes people up literally and figuratively.

OUTSIDER COFFEE'S COMPETITIVE EDGE

Starting our first location in Southern Oregon was a test of sorts for our company. We knew if we could make it there – with such enormous competition – we would have a solid business model as we expand across the country. As the birth place of leaders like Dutch Bros Coffee, Black Rock Coffee Bar and Human Bean there is no shortage of great coffee drive-thrus throughout the Southern Oregon (where our first drive thrus are located.) Not only have we carved out a place among industry giants, we have also built a strong, systematized business model that can be recreated! From our unique revolving monthly specials and hot breakfast items, to macro and keto friendly drinks and an incredible kids' menu - our menu stands out!

Drive-thru and quick service food and drink options are increasing in popularity for three reasons:

  1. People are busier than ever and don't have time to stop and get out of their cars. Families, professionals and students are all drawn to fast convenient coffee and food options.
  2. Coffee and espresso drinks are considered an affordable indulgence, meaning when people hit tough times a $5 coffee is easily justified as a necessity. As we've navigated through the pandemic, it's aftermath, and debilitating wild fires in Southern Oregon, we actually witnessed an increase in sales. Customers have thanked us continually for staying open because they needed a bit of normalcy and comfort in uncertain times.
  3. Drive thru operations are able to weather pandemic/recession concerns. With so much uncertainty surrounding shut downs and government mandates in the restaurant industry, having a drive thru option is a must for almost any restaurant. Being a 100% drive thru and delivery based company means that shut downs of any kind don't impact our business in the way it would a traditional sit down restaurant. We actually saw steady growth month after month even in the height of the Covid shut downs in Oregon, one of the very last states to lift government mandated closures.
